Op Hrs: 0900-1700 daily. Strictly PPR by Telephone.
Circuits at 800 ft agl: RH on Rwy 05, LH on Rwy 23.
Keep closely to circuit pattern shown above.
Arrival Procedures:
- Due to overlap with Wattisham ATZ and MATZ, joins are via
Raydon or Copdock VRPs unless otherwise instructed (not above
800FT agl).
- Prevailing winds and runway slope favour a Rwy 05 arrival.
- Contact Wattisham App 125.80 when at least 15 nm from Wattisham
and obtain clearance.
- If unable to establish radio contact with Wattisham, pilots
should:
- Route not above 800' agl via VRPs at Raydon disused airfield,
or Copdock Junction of A12 and A14 roads.
- Remain VFR at or below 800' agl within the Wattisham MATZ/Elmsett
ATZ.
- From Raydon VRP, pilots should route onto right base
for 05 (around Hadleigh), or onto downwind leg for 23.
- From Copdock VRP, join downwind for 05, or base leg via
Sub Station (2nm on track 330°M from Copdock VRP) for
23.
Departure Procedures:
- Prevailing winds and runway slope favour a Rwy 23 departure.
- Keep closely to circuit pattern to minimise noise nuisance.
- Attempt to contact Wattisham App 125.80 before departure,
and obtain clearance.
- If no contact on ground, try again as soon as possible after
departure.
- If still no contact with Wattisham:
- Remain not above 800' and depart from circuit via Raydon
or Copdock VRPs.
Please note: At weekends Wattisham
ATC not usually active, in which case make blind transmissions.
